It is with deep regret that we report the recent sad passing, following a short illness, of County Past Captain, County Past President and Bedlingtonshire Golf Club member Carol Ramsay.
Carol was originally a member of the County Exec and in 2002 became ELGA Handicap Advisor, assisting ladies with the changeover to the CONGU system.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Luckey who was a member of Goswick and Wooler. Patricia served on the NLCGA Executive from 2014 – 2015 and then as Competition Secretary from 2015 – 2021 during which time she was at every competition, travelling from her home in Berwick, quite often with her beloved dogs.

We’re thrilled to share that Julie’s Bridge Day 2025 was a resounding success, filled with camaraderie, cards, and community spirit. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm, we raised an impressive £574.96 after covering hall costs. This brings the running total for Northumbria Palliative Care to a fabulous £7,789.17! 😍 And we’re not stopping there! With a few more fundraising efforts

Fantastic results for three of our up and coming juniors at the Ping Junior Golf Tour Grand Final. Megan Wilkinson won the under 12 nett competition played over 18 holes. P. Harrison came second in the 10-12 years gross played over 9 holes. Anya Armstrong came third in the 6-9- years gross played over 9 holes.

We were delighted to receive heartfelt letters of thanks from both the Northumberland Scouts Association and the Newcastle Hospitals Charity, acknowledging our recent contributions to their invaluable work. The donations were from the RVI Foursomes and the Scout Cups competitions. The RVI Foursomes donation was £1,123.40 in support of the Breast Cancer Fund.
