We were delighted to receive heartfelt letters of thanks from both the Northumberland Scouts Association and the Newcastle Hospitals Charity, acknowledging our recent contributions to their invaluable work. The donations were from the RVI Foursomes and the Scout Cups competitions. The RVI Foursomes donation was £1,123.40 in support of the Breast Cancer Fund.
Our Junior County Team played a match against Durham at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club on 30th August. Northumberland won the match convincingly with a score line of 5.5 – 2.5. Congratulations to the team of Antonia Emmerson, Amelia Temperley, Lexie Dunn, JinHan Wang, Hannah Kennedy, Felicity Keenan, Susannah Potter and P Harrison.
As we’ve held the Autumn Meeting competition I’d just like to say a big thank you to all competitors for their support, we’ve had a great County Season & my sincere thanks for all the messages of support and personal thank yous. What a phenomenal milestone for Charlotte—a well deserved honour for such a dedicated and talented young golfer. Charlotte has also been selected to play for England in the World Championships in Canada after which she will fly to New York for the Junior Ryder Cup. The very popular Waltz competition played on a chilly and windy day at Seahouses Golf Club was won by the ladies from Matfen Hall, Lindsey whittaker, Caroline Watchorn and Vickie Wood.
