We were delighted to receive heartfelt letters of thanks from both the Northumberland Scouts Association and the Newcastle Hospitals Charity, acknowledging our recent contributions to their invaluable work. The donations were from the RVI Foursomes and the Scout Cups competitions. The RVI Foursomes donation was £1,123.40 in support of the Breast Cancer Fund.

Our Junior County Team played a match against Durham at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club on 30th August. Northumberland won the match convincingly with a score line of 5.5 – 2.5. Congratulations to the team of Antonia Emmerson, Amelia Temperley, Lexie Dunn, JinHan Wang, Hannah Kennedy, Felicity Keenan, Susannah Potter and P Harrison.

As we’ve held the Autumn Meeting competition I’d just like to say a big thank you to all competitors for their support, we’ve had a great County Season & my sincere thanks for all the messages of support and  personal thank yous. Congratulations to all our winners and look forward to seeing you next year. 2026 competitions will open 20 November 2025

Congratulations to the Hexham team of June Lomax, Susan Lam and Val Robinson on a Top 10 finish in the English Women’s Champion Club. Also, well done and a big thank you to The City of Newcastle Golf Club, their staff, volunteers and the NLCGA representatives who helped over the last three days.

Clare Toman of Longhirst Hall claimed victory in the Cecil Leitch Final held at Backworth Golf Club, with Margaret Nelson of Hexham Golf Club finishing as runner-up. Gallery in read more

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lesley Marsh after a short illness. Lesley played for the County team before moving on to be a prolific team member and champion of the Vets. There is a wonderful tribute to Lesley on the Vets website www.ncvlga.uk
