 It is with great sadness that we report the recent passing of Past Captain and President, Mrs Nancy Wardropper.
She was a member of the Northumberland and Bamburgh Golf Clubs and played in many Shield matches where, as well as being renowned as a formidable opponent, she was also highly respected for her knowledge of both golf and life in general.
Past President Ann Goodwill who knew Nancy for more than 30 years commented upon hearing of Nancy’s passing that she was:
‘Deeply saddened at the death of a valued friend whose thoughts I totally respected and whose advice I appreciated.’
These thoughts are echoed by the Past Captains, Presidents and the Executive. Our deepest sympathies are extended to her family and friends, and she will be sadly missed.
