Format
Each year, Northumberland participates in the Northern Counties Junior Jamboree. This event is a fun one for junior girls with a handicap index of between 15 and 40. The event is played over two days.
Day 1 – each girl plays an 18-hole round of golf (stableford) with girls from the other counties with a team meal afterwards for the competitors
Day 2 – the girls are rated from their stableford points from Day 1 and will play a match (off handicap) against a girl from one of the other counties with similar. The emphasis of the match will be very much on fun and gaining experience and there is a points system in place to ensure that even losing competitors win points for their county.
There is then a final team meal and presentation before everyone heads home.

The girls who play in the Jamboree always find it a fun, rewarding experience and bond as a team over the few days.
