One U16 mixed pair are picked to represent England in The Junior Open and Rosie Belsham is the chosen one...

The 54-hole championship is closely linked to The Open and features leading U16 golfers from around the world. Past winners include Masters champion Patrick Reed. Rosie alongside her England junior boy compatriot Joshua Berry will play on the Eden Course at St Andrews, from 16-18 July, as part of a 144 strong U16 field from around the world. After their competition they get to rub shoulders with the Tour stars as they get taken behind the scenes on the first 2 days of The Open at Carnoustie.

We'll keep an eye on how they do next week but in the meantime we wish them every success and that they have a brilliant time. There was also a lovely piece in Thursdays Chronicle Grassroots Sport section submitted by Vice Captain Sian Oakley about Rosie and this fantastic opportunity.
